Booking directly with us gives you the same or better pricing — without the platform fee that OTAs add to your total. You also get direct communication with us, which means faster responses, more flexibility, and local guidance that no OTA can provide.

Are there any hidden charges?

No, we believe in complete transparency. The price quoted covers your stay, and any optional add-ons such as meals, bonfire, guided experiences, or transfers are shared with clear pricing before you confirm.

We also request guests to kindly share the correct number of occupants while booking, so we can make the right arrangements and ensure a comfortable stay for everyone.

What is the cancellation policy?

Our cancellation policy is shared at the time of booking. We try to be reasonable — if plans change, reach out to us on WhatsApp and we'll work something out based on notice period and availability.

You can explore Jibhi Waterfall, Chehni Kothi, Jalori Pass, Serolsar Lake, Raghupur Fort, Balo Temple, and even take a scenic trip to Tirthan Valley. After booking, we can also share a suggested itinerary based on your trip.

Yes. We can arrange local guides for treks to Serolsar Lake, Raghupur Fort, and other trails. Mention this when you enquire and we'll include it in your plan.

Yes — room decorations, candlelight dinner setups, and cake arrangements can be organised with advance notice. Mention the occasion when you book.

Are meals available at Winterfell?

Yes. We offer breakfast and dinner on request. Meals are home-cooked and served at the property. When you book, let us know your meal plan preference and we'll arrange it.

What kind of food is served?

We serve both vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals. Local Himachali dishes are available on request — dal, rice, seasonal vegetables, and traditional preparations. Simple Jain-friendly meals can also be arranged with prior notice.

Yes, guests are welcome to bring or order outside food. Jibhi market has several cafes and dhabas within walking distance.

Yes, bonfires are available at most of our properties, especially in cooler months. BBQ and bonfire snacks can be arranged on request — just mention it when you enquire.

Is the road safe for a sedan / hatchback?

Yes — the road to Winterfell Jibhi is motorable in a sedan or hatchback in normal conditions. The final stretch is a narrow mountain road but well-maintained. During heavy snow (Dec–Feb) or peak monsoon, an SUV or 4WD is more comfortable. We always recommend calling us before travel if you're unsure about current road conditions.

There is dedicated parking available on-site. We'll share exact directions and parking guidance on WhatsApp after your booking is confirmed.

What's the best time to arrive?

We recommend arriving before dark, especially if it's your first time on mountain roads. Check-in is from 12:30 noon — if you're driving from Delhi or Chandigarh, a morning start means you'll arrive comfortably before sunset.

Are there snow / monsoon travel notes?

December to February can bring snowfall, which makes the road scenic but slower. Monsoon (July–August) brings heavy rain and occasional landslides on the Aut–Banjar highway — we always advise guests to check road conditions with us before departure during this period. The Tirthan Valley itself remains open year-round.

Is public transport available?

Buses run from Delhi and Chandigarh to Manali . From Aut local taxis go to Jibhi. We can also arrange a pickup from Aut or Banjar — just ask us on WhatsApp when you book. Local buses also run from aut to jibhi, but their timing doesn't match.

Yes. All Winterfell cottages can be booked together for a full property takeover — ideal for families, friend groups, or corporate retreats. We accommodate up to 20+ guests across our properties. Reach out on WhatsApp for group pricing.

What is the check-in and check-out time?

Check-in is from 12:30 noon. Check-out is by 11:00 AM. Early check-in or late check-out may be possible depending on availability — just ask us when you book.

Is WiFi available? Is it reliable?

Yes, WiFi is available at all Winterfell properties. Speed is reasonable for video calls and remote work. That said, this is a mountain location — expect occasional brief outages during heavy rain. Most guests use mobile data as backup (Jio and Airtel have decent signal at Jibhi).

Yes. All cottages have heating arrangements for colder months. Blankets and quilts are provided. If you're visiting in winter, just let us know and we'll make sure the room is warm when you arrive.

Is hot water available all day?

Yes, hot water is available throughout the day in all cottages. Each cottage has sufficient hot water capacity for its maximum occupancy. However, if hot water is used continuously for an extended period, the geyser may need time to heat the water again.

Yes, we have power backup in place for occasional outages. In the mountains, short power cuts can happen from time to time, but the backup keeps essential comforts running — including Wi-Fi, lights, and charging points. Please note that the geyser / hot water system does not operate on inverter backup.

Some of our cottages are more accessible than others. If you're travelling with elderly guests, mention it when you enquire and we'll recommend the most suitable cottage and help with logistics.

We ask all guests to be considerate of the natural setting and our neighbours. Music is welcome within the property — but loud music late at night is not permitted. Winterfell is a peaceful, private stay, not a party venue.

All cottages come with clean linen, towels, and basic toiletries. If you need anything specific, just ask — we'll do our best to arrange it.

Can the bathtub be used multiple times in a day?

The bathtub is generally available for one full use per day, as it requires a significant amount of hot water. After one use, the solar / geyser system needs time to heat the water again before it can be comfortably used another time.
