My Story
I grew up in Jibhi, in the Tirthan Valley. The river, the forests, the cold winters — that's just home for me. I didn't discover this place on a trip; I've simply always been here.
By profession I'm a developer and freelancer. Winterfell started as a side project — a way to share the place I grew up in with people who'd appreciate it. It grew more than I expected, and here we are.
I'm not a certified guide or a travel expert. But I know this valley well — the spots worth visiting, the ones to skip, the best time to come, and what to realistically expect. If you have questions about Jibhi, I'm happy to help however I can.
About Jibhi
Places to Visit
Jalori Pass, Serolsar Lake, Chhoie Waterfall, Chehni Kothi — I've been to these places and can tell you what the experience is actually like, not just what's written online.
The GHNP
The Great Himalayan National Park is right here. I can tell you how to get in, what to expect, and whether it's worth it for your kind of trip.
The River
The Tirthan runs through Jibhi and it's genuinely beautiful. Great for trout fishing if that's your thing, or just sitting by it. I can point you to the right spots.
Local Feel
Jibhi has temples, old Kathkuni architecture, and a quieter pace than most hill stations. I can give you a sense of what village life here actually looks like.
When to Come
Each season is different. I can tell you honestly what to expect month by month — snow, rain, crowds, road conditions — so you're not caught off guard.
Practical Questions
How to get here, what to pack, how far things are, what's overrated — the kind of stuff that's hard to find online but easy to answer if you just ask.
How I Can Help
01
Tell me what kind of trip you want and I'll give you an honest answer on timing. Snow, clear skies, fewer crowds — each has its window.
02
I can suggest places worth the trip and tell you which popular spots aren't really worth it. No agenda — just what I'd tell a friend.
03
How to reach Jibhi, where to eat, road conditions, mobile connectivity — the everyday stuff that makes or breaks a trip. Happy to answer.
